Minutes of the Chamber of Commerce Tourism CommitteeJuly 5, 2006 Present: Stan Moore, Arlene Borchers, Rose Anne Huck, Cynthia Crawford Minutes of the previous minute were reviewed and it was moved by Cynthia Crawford that the minutes be approved. Seconded and passed. The primary URL for the website is: Stan presented a letter to collect information for the brochures. It will be signed by Ken Yowell. The group approved the cover letter. Rose Anne will make minor modifications to the data collection form and will get it to the Chamber today. Stan Moore moved that Chamber members be identified in some manner (color of ink) in the brochure and on the website. It was seconded and the motion passed. Website discussion: Changes will be collected and the website will be changed periodically. Rose Anne will accept this leadership role. Stan led the group through a review of the list of possible businesses to collect data from for the brochure and website. Our first impression of the website: WOW! We are very pleased with the professional look. Stan encouraged us to consider that brochures may be included in the plastic promotion bag. The group reviewed the Marshall attractions list. Needed follow up to today’s meeting: 1. Stan assigned each member to review the paper version of the calendar of events submission form. 2. Second assignment – begin thinking about grant application for next year. Application for 2007 is due October 6. Be creative and daring with ideas.
